Did you know that the last time the US won Olympic gold in men’s hockey, a dozen eggs cost $0.84, Tom Brady hadn’t even started preschool, and Meryl Streep was about to win her first Oscar?

Mountain Jack’s

You’ve gotta try Mountain Jack’s at least once in your life. I’m usually pretty cheap when it comes to eating out, but this place is well worth splurging a bit for.

You can’t go wrong with the New York Strip, mashed potatoes, and asparagus!

Meet Meeka

Meeka is a beautiful 2-year-old gentle giant who has been with the Humane Society for Greater Lafayette since January 4th, 2025. Weighing in at 74 pounds, she may be big, but her heart is even bigger. She’s the definition of a couch potato and would be more than happy to spend her days lounging by your side. But every now and then, she’ll surprise you with little bursts of playful energy.

Meeka walks nicely on a leash and absolutely loves getting out for doggy day outs, especially if there’s a pup cup involved!

She has a very calm, easygoing demeanor that makes her a joy to be around. While she enjoys relaxing most of the time, she will play with toys when she’s in the mood.

HS4GL is unsure how Meeka does with other animals, so meet and greets are recommended. Overall, she’s a laid-back, loving girl just waiting for a cozy home to call her own
