At 17 S. 7th Street in downtown Lafayette sits a brick building dating to 1867. It's the oldest of its kind in Indiana. What is it?
Come back Friday and see how you did🧐 (the answer is usually in the history section on Friday)

Meet Thunder
Thunder is a 2-year-old boy who has been patiently waiting for his forever home since March 2nd, 2026. Don’t let his tough-guy look fool you, behind those kennel bars he can seem a little intimidating, but once he’s out, he’s a total cinnamon roll.
Thunder does have some barrier reactivity in his kennel, so he’ll need an adopter who understands that what you see in the kennel isn’t who he truly is. Outside of it, he’s sweet, affectionate, and loves soaking up attention, especially if it includes pets, rolling around, and (very likely) belly rubs.
He’s a smart boy too! Thunder knows sit and down, and he’s working on shake/paw. He’s very food motivated, which makes training a great way to bond with him and continue building his skills.
Thunder LOVES to play (tug-of-war is one of his absolute favorite games) and toys are the way to his heart. Because of how food-driven he is, we would be cautious about placing him in a home with another dog. Meet-and-greets are always required, and any dogs in the home would need to be fed separately to set everyone up for success.
Thunder may look tough, but he’s really just a big softie looking for someone who sees past the kennel and into the loving, playful dog he truly is.

The Barndo
Ever dreamed of living in a barndominium? You’ll want to see this listing. If you have no idea what a barndominium is, think a barn (obviously), residential living area, garage, and anything else that can be squeezed under one roof.
Let’s start outside. First of all, whoever mowed those lines needs a raise. And second, that pool area is pretty sweet. You get a pool plus a grain bin that’s been converted into a gazebo.
The shop just off of the house is fully heated, air-conditioned, and has its own bathroom.
The house itself is a one-story ranch built with a totally open floor plan. It’s got 9 foot ceilings throughout and a kitchen that is both shiny white and built for entertainment. Outside of that, the shower is legit.
The three-car attached garage is heated (of course it is) and for some reason the HOA is $100 a year. Walk Score: 0.
