Howdy, Lafayette.

Week by week, I hope this newsletter helps you get to know this place we call home a little better. There should be something for the newcomers to town all the way to the born and raised here types. We have some cool stuff in this little, big town worth exploring!

Let’s get into it:

  • Dinner Club is back!

  • A coffee spot to try

  • Trivia for locals

  • A Lincoln Loggish house

  • A curated list of events

Here’s what past attendees have said

We’ll be having our THIRD Dinner Club on Wednesday, April 22nd at 6:30 pm. We have just under 10 seats left!

What it is

Six locals, around one table, enjoying a great meal and meaningful conversations.

How it works

  • Take a short personality quiz

  • Get matched with 5 compatible guests

  • We choose the restaurant and handle logistics

  • You just show up

Wanderlust Coffee Roasters

I had some work that I needed to get done last Friday and needed some caffeine to get said work done. So, I made my way over to 1020 Gemini Ln in West Lafayette to see what I could find.

Not only did I find a great spot to post up shop, but got a cup of Wanderlust’s cold brew (10/10). I’ll be back, maybe this week. They will be having their grand opening this Thursday from 2 pm to 3 pm.

What year was the Tippecanoe County courthouse completed?

The Lincoln Loggish House

Are you a fan of wood interiors and bold carpet choices? If so, I have just the house for you. At just under 2,800 sq ft, this 3 bed/3 bath gem has all of the pieces to be one of the unique places in the area.

A library loft with cottage windows and a Cathedral lantern hanging overhead like you live in a novel. Not to mention, this bad boy sits right on the river.

All of it sits on 1.25 wooded acres backed up to Prophetstown State Park. The downside is it gets a zero Walk Score. You don't walk to things here. You sit on your riverfront deck and let the things come to you.
